Africa Area Prayer Advocacy Training

Planned for July 2026, the Africa Area Prayer Advocacy Training aims to strengthen the quality, consistency, and spiritual depth of prayer in support of Bible translation by equipping prayer coordinators across Africa.

Project Name: Africa Area Prayer Advocacy Training

Implementing Organization: Wycliffe Global Alliance

Contact: Jo Johnson, Consultant for Prayer Advocacy, jo_johnson@wycliffe.net

Start date: 1 October 2025

End date: 30 September 2026

Summary

Many Alliance organisations lack trained prayer leaders. This initiative addresses that need in Africa through practical training in prayer advocacy, strategic planning, communications and mobilisation of intercessors.

By bringing leaders together from across the continent, the training will build community and collaboration, strengthening a shared network with a common vision. Using a cascading model—where participants train others in their organisations—ensures that the impact will extend well beyond the event itself.

Your support helps cultivate a strong, consistent prayer movement that provides spiritual cover for translation teams and nurtures a sustainable culture of prayer advocacy throughout Africa.
